Bench Type 1: The Union Bench

This bench is a study of furniture in the Shaker design tradition. It combines a standard Shaker bench construction with rounded details of the marble top trestle table found in Union Village. Like much of the furniture found in the Shaker community, it’s simplicity only accentuates it’s personality and character.
