Bed Type 2: Custom Bed & Side Sleeper

A custom variant of the Chittenden Four-Post, this bed uses the same joinery to achieve a unique design and elegant silhouette. Snug mortise and tenons, paired with concealed heavy duty bolts ensure a robust and long-lasting construction. Delicate tapers, visible wood grain and subtle design details make this a stunning piece that draws the eye and welcomes its user. Special to this project is the infant side sleeper. Inspired by homemade pieces in the Amish community, this side sleeper can be locked in place anywhere along either side rail and is height adjustable for various mattress thicknesses.
